Toonies
I just turned on some Saturday morning cartoons for my youngest daughter Sarah to watch. The cartoons aren't the same as when I was her age, but the spirit of it is the same. Our dish package has four cartoon channels that my kids watch every day, but Saturday morning cartoons are still important. After all, it is the morning when there's no school!
Some television stations thought it's a good idea to interrupt Saturday morning cartoons with news programming. This makes me mad. They don't need to tamper with kids time like that. I don't know of any children that want to wake up to the news of the day. They want to wake up to the bright colors that only animation can bring.
They want ideas for playtime and to see commercials for great toys.
Does anyone else sense the Saturday morning spirit that I do? Let's do what we can to protect it!
