Hinduism: Brief Introduction
Hinduism is not easily defined. It is a collection of several different components that are shared by other religions. There are very few commonalities. It seems as if most Hindus will worship a Triumvirate of gods amongst a crowd of many other gods. This triumvirate is made up of Brahma: The Creator, Vishnu: The Preserver and Shiva: The Destroyer. In Hinduism is found Reincarnation, Karma, and Yoga. Hindu scriptures include the Vedas, the Upanishads, Ramayana and Mahabharata, the Puranas, and the Bhagavad Gita(the most sacred book). There are currently an estimate of 837,300,000 practicing Hindus of the world. More to come...

Ben,
If you like, I have contacts with the local Hindu Temple, could arrange a tour, then you could discuss later.
That's a tough question for me to answer. Part of me would want to research it and the other part of me doesn't want to approve of it. Ultimately I ask myself the question: Would a Hindu feel welcome in my Church setting? If so how is it any different for me to go to a Hindu Temple? It's tough.
