Nothing To Say
Quite often I have nothing to say. Like when I miss a perfect opportunity to return a volley during volleyball. The times when I meet someone new and just ponder about what they are thinking. When my boss asks me a question that I don't have an answer for. I become speechless. Right now, for instance, I am writing about not having anything to say in order to say something.
What can be said when the final shot of a basketball game is a three pointer with 2 seconds remaining giving the opposing team the lead?
What can be said when I can't find my keys for the hundredth time?
What words come to mind when for no apparent reason I forget something important to someone else?
The things that render me speechless are so common and simple. When it comes time for me to pray it often starts the same way as it did the night before and the night before that. My brain goes into automatic and nothing new or even sincere comes out as a result. God should render us all speechless. Our heart should pray before our mouth does. So, maybe next time I won't pray in automatic. Maybe I will stop, think, and feel the words I pray a little more.

For some one who had little to say, you said a lot.
